Get the JDM History app

Add JDM History to your phone’s home screen and it opens like an app: full screen, with its own icon. Check a car at a viewing, photograph its auction sheet or look up its Japanese recalls in one tap. Nothing to download from an app store, and it’s free.

On a computer? Open jdmhistory.co.uk on your phone to add it to your home screen. Chrome and Edge can also install it here from the install icon in the address bar.

On an iPhone or iPad

  1. Tap the Share button in Safari’s toolbar (in Chrome, it’s in the address bar).
  2. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  3. Tap Add. JDM History now opens from your home screen like any other app.

On an Android phone

  1. Open jdmhistory.co.uk in Chrome.
  2. Tap Install when we offer it, or open the ⋮ menu and tap Install app (or Add to Home screen).
  3. Confirm, and the JDM History icon appears with your other apps.

Questions

Is there a JDM History app?
Yes. JDM History is a web app: you add it to your home screen straight from the website, with no app store download. It opens full screen with its own icon, like any other app.
Does the app cost anything?
No. The app is free, and so are the free check, the chassis decoder, the recall check and typing in an auction sheet. You only pay if you buy a full report.
Can I photograph an auction sheet with the app?
Yes. On the auction sheet page, tap Take a photo and your phone’s camera opens. Lay the sheet flat, fill the frame and avoid glare. We don’t keep the photo.
Does it work offline?
Pages you’ve opened before, such as model guides, are saved on your phone and open without a signal. Checks, recall look-ups and reading a sheet need a connection because they fetch live records. Paid reports are never saved on the device.
How do I remove it?
Press and hold the icon and choose Remove or Uninstall, as with any other app.
