Models that came in Bordeaux Mica
Listed for these models in Japanese catalogue colour listings. Not every colour was offered for every year or trim.
Other Toyota models outside our model library used 3P2 too.
In Toyota’s own catalogue
Toyota’s own listings name the colour (ボルドーマイカ) but not the code, so they confirm the model offered it. These are the grades we checked:
- Toyota Celsior UCF30 UCF30Toyota’s used-car catalogue: Celsior C (UA-UCF31), August 2001 to August 2003
Has a 3P2 car been resprayed?
- Find the model plate and read the code. On the manufacturer’s plate in the engine bay, usually on the bulkhead or a front strut top. It’s printed with the trim code as COLOR/TRIM (C/TR): in 040/FB20 the paint code is 040. If it says 3P2, the car left the factory in Bordeaux Mica.
- Check the V5C. For Bordeaux Mica it should say MAROON or RED. Add the paint code to our free check and we’ll compare it with the DVLA record for you.
- Check the auction sheet. It should describe the car as maroon and usually prints the code. A sheet that says one colour with a code for another means the car was painted before it was sold in Japan. Our auction sheet translator flags that.
- Look for the old colour where a respray rarely reaches: the engine bay, door shuts, inside the boot lid and fuel flap, and under rubber seals. Bordeaux Mica has a mica finish, so look along each panel at an angle for a change in shade.

Questions
What colour is Toyota paint code 3P2?
3P2 is Bordeaux Mica (ボルドーマイカ), a mica maroon paint.
What colour should the V5C say for a car in 3P2?
The DVLA records a basic colour, not the paint name, so a car still in its factory Bordeaux Mica should be registered as MAROON or RED. Anything else suggests it has been painted a new colour, and the keeper should have told the DVLA.
Which models came in Bordeaux Mica?
Japanese catalogue colour listings include it for the Toyota Celsior UCF30 (UCF30). Other Toyota models outside our model library used it too.
